‘til 8 November: Pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory – gain an Indulgence for one, each day

An indulgence, applicable only to the Souls in Purgatory, is granted to the faithful, who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray, even if only mentally, for the departed. The indulgence is plenary each day from November 1-8; on other days of the year it is only a partial indulgence.

The plenary indulgence is earned under the usual conditions: sacramental confession (within 20 days before or after), one Eucharistic Communion for each visit (20 days before or after), and prayer for the Pope’s intentions while detached from sin.

Sunday, 20 November – 11:00 Holy Family, Davenport; 2:30 pm St Patrick, Iowa City Last Sunday after Pentecost: Readings and Propers

The number of the Sundays after Pentecost may exceed twenty-four and go up as far as twenty-eight, according as Easter is each year more or less near to the vernal equinox. But the Mass here given is always reserved for the last, and the intervening ones, whatever be their number, are taken from the Sundays after Epiphany, which in that case were not used at the beginning of the year. This however does not apply to the Introit, Gradual, Offertory and Communion verse, which are repeated from the 23rd Sunday. https://extraordinaryform.org/propers/Pentecost99thLast.pdf
